Sam Woehrmann

Sam Woehrmann has been a practicing bench jeweler for over 20 years, specializing in settings all shapes of gemstones, particularly geometric in 22 karat gold.

In this workshop we will be fabricating bezel settings in gold, silver or a combination of the two. Focusing on fancy cuts, geometric shapes and raw rough surfaces. Learn how to get the right height for your bezels and interior seats for faceted stones. I will share quick efficient ways to tube set diamonds or sapphires and solder those into hard to reach places after the stones are set to keep them looking clean and crisp. We will learn different ways to solder bezels to one another and using elements to keep them apart for easy setting later, along with other tips and tricks I have learned along my way at the bench. Don't be scared of bezel making, there are no math equations involved in my process.

This is not a workshop for beginners. You must have some experience with soldering.
